The History of Cetaphil Cleanser

You’ve seen it on drug store shelves. Maybe you even have a bottle of it in your medicine cabinet at home. But did you know that Cetaphil Cleanser is over 75 years old? Cetaphil was created by a pharmacist in Texas who wanted to help patients treat their sensitive skin more effectively. The brand launched in 1947 and the first product it released was called Cetaphil Cleansing Lotion. (Today that same product is still produced, but the name has been changed to Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser.) As the brand grew more popular over the years, Cetaphil developed a full range of products formulated for sensitive skin. Today, the brand is available in more than 70 countries and offers multiple products for taking care of sensitive skin at all stages of life.
